In this article, I’m going to share my HONEST Sennheiser Accentum Plus review for those who are wondering whether they are WORTH IT in 2026. I’ll also be comparing the Sennheiser Accentum Plus vs Accentum, Momentum 4, JBL Live 770NC, Sony ULT Wear, Anker Soundcore Space 2, Space One, Space One Pro, Q45, and more!
I’m going to do my best to share whether these headphones are worth it, and ideally who these headphones are for. I bought these headphones with my own money, and was NOT sponsored, paid, or received a free copy for review. All thoughts are my own.

Sennheiser Accentum Plus Headphones Review in Short
On sale, the Sennheiser Accentum Plus is a decent option under $150 due to its sound quality. But if you can afford it, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is better in every way and worth upgrading to. The Plus model is only marginally better than the regular Sennheiser Accentum, which it shares the same 37mm drivers with. Competes with JBL Live 770NC, Anker Soundcore Space One Pro, Soundcore Space 2, Soundcore Space Q45, Soundcore Space One, Sony ULT Wear, Sony WH-CH720N, JBL Tune 770NC, and Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2.

Sound Quality
First Impressions on the Stock Sound…
The Sennheiser Accentum Plus shares the same 37mm drivers as the regular Accentum model, as opposed to the larger 42mm drivers found on the flagship Momentum 4, HDB 630, and newer Momentum 5.
To my surprise, the stock tuning is quite neutral for a “budget” headphone, as most headphones in this price bracket are extremely V-shaped and consumer-friendly.
Thanks to this relatively flatter tuning, I am hearing a good amount of detail from the bass, mids, and treble.
That said, I do immediately notice a bit of a step down in sound quality from the flagship Momentum 4, that just has higher resolution, detail, soundstage, along with a deeper sub-bass.
There is a custom 5-band EQ just like the Accentum and Momentum 4, although I’m enjoying the stock “Neutral” mode.
Also, the Accentum Plus supports the hi-res codec of aptX Adaptive, leading to higher sound quality potential on paper.

Full Sound Quality Test
The Accentum Plus is a fine-sounding headphone for its price, and has arguably the most tasteful “audiophile” tuning of the budget headphones that really lean towards that mass-market V-shaped tuning.
I’m clearly hearing the Sennheiser DNA in this headphone, and that’s a good thing if you prefer a more balanced tonality.
The bass is certainly present, but it is a clean and controlled bass that is more focused on punchy mid-bass as opposed to deep sub-bass like the Momentum 4.
The mids are there to allow vocals to be forward, but it is slightly outshined by the forward treble that is just a touch bright but quite detailed.
I think the treble is just on the verge of sibilance, and it’s not as smooth or linear as the more expensive Sennheiser flagships.
A couple areas that are lacking is the overall resolution and soundstage, which is more compressed and narrow versus the Sennheiser flagships.
Overall, arguably the most tasteful audiophile-tuned budget headphone, but ultimately held back by the quality of the drivers versus more expensive headphones.
Sound Quality Comparisons
vs Sennheiser Accentum
Although the Accentum Plus and regular Accentum share the same 37mm drivers, I much prefer the more neutral tuning of the Plus model.
The Accentum needs more EQ to be as balanced as the Plus model, while I can enjoy the Plus without EQ needed.
Also, the drivers of the Plus model are angled, which translates to slightly better acoustics and soundstage.
Lastly, the Plus model supports aptX Adaptive which is slightly higher quality on paper than aptX HD on the regular Accentum.
vs Sennheiser Momentum 4
The more expensive Momentum 4 is clearly in a sound quality tier above the Accentum Plus, which is not an easy feat.
The larger 42mm drivers of the Momentum 4 translate into higher resolution, clarity, separation, and soundstage.
In addition, the Momentum 4 has a big advantage in the sub-bass, with much more visceral slam and fullness.
The neutral sound profile is actually fairly similar between the two, but the execution is on a higher level with the Momentum 4.

The Sennheiser Accentum Plus is one of the lightest in weight for the over-ear, wireless noise cancelling headphones as weighed on my scale:

Weighing just a couple grams heavier than the regular Accentum, the Accentum Plus is one of the lightest headphones for the class.
I do appreciate that, especially considering the Momentum 4 is 67 grams heavier (but with better build quality).
The only things really holding back the Accentum Plus is it has quite a strong clamping force from the factory, and has smaller earcup diameter and interior space than the Momentum 4.
The clamping force isn’t unlike the Momentum 4, which eventually loosens up over time.
Overall, the Accentum Plus is a decently comfy headphone mainly due to its light weight, but has rather small earcup space and strong clamping force.

In my testing, I found this rating to be accurate.
50 hours with ANC on and 50 hours with ANC off is above average for this class.
There is a fast-charge feature that adds 5 hours with just 10 minutes of charging time.
Build Quality
One drawback to the Accentum Plus is its cheap, plasticky build quality, which is a noticeable step down from the Momentum 4.
Now, for the price, a lot of budget headphones feel pretty cheap and flimsy.
But the Accentum Plus feels more like a $50-$100 headphone.
It is nice that it comes with a softshell case, as most budget headphones only include a bag.
Practicality
The qualities that make the Accentum Plus a good daily driver are its lightweight comfort, strong battery life, and decent sound quality.
On the downside, the build quality is fairly cheap, and the noise cancelling is average.
Overall, I think the good outweighs the bad, but just be warned.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) Performance
One area that Sennheiser has been criticized in is noise cancelling performance, and the Accentum Plus is no exception.
People complain about the more expensive Momentum 4, which is a step below the flagships from Sony, Bose, and Apple in noise cancelling.
I think the Momentum 4 is actually fairly serviceable, which means the Accentum Plus is slightly below that.
Overall, I think the Accentum Plus is average to slightly below average for noise cancelling.
It’s nice that it has the “Wind Reduction” feature like in the Momentum 4, but the overall noise blocking leaves a bit to be desired.
In its defense, most budget headphones are a tier below the $400+ flagships when it comes to noise cancelling.
Noise Cancelling Performance Score: 7.5 out of 10
Value
The Accentum Plus retails at a full price of $249.95 USD, but is now discounted to around $130-$180 brand new market price.
The Accentum Plus is a solid option under $150, although the competition is quite fierce these days at this price point from JBL Live 770NC, Anker Soundcore Space 2, and Sony ULT Wear, to name a few.
The elephant in the room is that the flagship Momentum 4 has dipped to as low as $179 on sale recently, with the arrival of the newer Momentum 5.
Honestly, there would be no reason to get the Accentum Plus over the Momentum 4 if you can find the M4 on sale.
But when the M4 is not discounted, the Accentum Plus on sale becomes a bit more appealing. It all depends on the current sales.

Is the Sennheiser Accentum Plus Worth it?
Honestly, I like the Accentum Plus, but only on sale under $150, and ideally closer to $130 or below.
Otherwise, I highly recommend you upgrade to the “big brother” Sennheiser Momentum 4, which has dipped to as low as $179 on sale these days.
If you can afford it, upgrade to the Momentum 4 which is better in every single way to the Accentum Plus.
At the $150 and below price range, the Accentum Plus also faces stiff competition from JBL Live 770NC, Anker Soundcore Space 2, Soundcore Space One Pro, and Sony ULT Wear.
